2022 Price Increase Update

2022 Price Increase Update

Dear Valued Customers,

We wanted to let you know that, effective January 3rd, 2022, we have increased our prices to reflect the rising cost of ingredients, packaging, labor, and transportation. We realize this is disappointing news, especially given our continuing inventory challenges, but we wanted to share details on why this increase has occurred.

Unfortunately, there have been multiple significant cost increases across the human food supply chain recently, which have been unprecedented in our 20 years of business. We’ve been hit hardest by the rising prices of human grade beef, chicken, turkey, fish, grains, and quinoa. Combined with a challenging labor market, cost increases on numerous packaging components, and higher transportation and fuel prices for inbound ingredients and finished goods—the cost to make our products has increased from all angles.

Additionally, we pride ourselves on using only the highest quality, human grade ingredients in our foods. We will never sacrifice the quality of our foods—or our sourcing and production standards—to reduce pricing, even in the face of challenging circumstances.

Knowing the economic hardships that the COVID-19 pandemic brought on customers across the nation, we’ve absorbed these costs 100% over the last 18 months. Although you’ve likely seen prices increase across other brands in stores over the past year, we maintained our 2019 pricing to ease the burden on our customers. However, at this time, a price increase has become unavoidable.

We want to assure you that we will continue to uphold our uncompromising standards as we work through ongoing cost and sourcing challenges. We always put integrity and safety above profits, and we’re extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve you and your pets with the top-quality products for which we are trusted.

Thank you for being an Honest Kitchen customer.

Sincerely,

Lucy
